FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions — DSC

What is the difference between Class 2 and Class 3 DSC?

Class 2 DSC is used for income tax filing, GST and ROC filings where identity is verified against a trusted pre-verified database. Class 3 DSC provides a higher level of assurance and is required for e-tendering, GeM portal and high-value government e-procurement transactions.
For e-KYC-based DSC, Aadhaar linked to an active mobile number is mandatory. However, paper-based KYC with other identity documents is also available for those whose Aadhaar is not linked to a mobile number.
DSC is issued with a validity of 1 year or 2 years depending on the plan chosen. After expiry, the certificate must be renewed. We recommend opting for a 2-year validity to reduce renewal costs and downtime.
Yes. The DSC is stored on a USB crypto token which can be plugged into any computer. The required driver software must be installed on each computer. Our team provides setup support for all your machines.
If your token is lost or damaged, you need to apply for a fresh DSC with new KYC documents. The old certificate will be revoked for security reasons. Contact us immediately — we process replacement DSCs faster than standard timelines.
