File Your Court Case Online — Correctly the First Time

The Supreme Court, Allahabad High Court and all district courts in Uttar Pradesh now accept electronic filing of plaints, petitions, appeals and applications through the eCourts e-Filing portal. However, e-filing has strict formatting, document size and procedural requirements that lead to rejections for first-time filers. Our advocates at the High Court Complex, Lucknow ensure your e-filing is prepared correctly, submitted on time and accepted without rejection.

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions — E-Filing

Is e-filing mandatory or optional for High Court cases?

The Allahabad High Court has made e-filing mandatory for certain categories of cases filed by advocates. For litigants in person and for some case types, physical filing is still accepted. Our team will advise you on whether your specific case must be e-filed or can be submitted physically.
All documents must be submitted in PDF format, with each file typically not exceeding 10 MB. The PDF must be text-searchable (not a scanned image) in most cases. Our team converts and optimises all your documents to meet the exact portal requirements before filing.
Advocates filing on behalf of clients are required to use a Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) to sign and submit e-filings. Litigants in person may file using OTP-based authentication in some courts. We handle DSC-based filing for all advocate-filed matters.
Court fee for e-filed cases in UP is paid through the GRAS (Government Receipt Accounting System) portal or through integrated payment gateways on the e-Filing portal itself. We calculate the correct court fee amount and complete the payment on your behalf.
If a filing is rejected, the portal provides a reason for rejection. Our team immediately rectifies the defect — whether it is a formatting issue, missing document, incorrect court fee or procedural error — and refiles within the shortest possible time to protect your limitation period.
